Business and Law are subjects that are essential to this vision and all colleagues in our Faculty strive to equip our students to make effective contributions to society and the economy, whilst striving for excellence in learning, teaching and research.
The Faculty is comprised of Kingston Business School and Kingston Law School, both cornerstones of the University, and our aim is to provide and unlock opportunities in business, management and the law. The two schools work in tandem to offer a comprehensive and professionally relevant set of courses and are brought together by our dedication to student achievement, pursuing world-class research and engaging and interacting with practice to shape, inform and evaluate what we do.
The environment that you are taught in is key to providing you with a fulfilling and exciting study experience, and helping to ensure that you are well equipped to meet the challenges that studying at a high level will bring. Our safe, green Kingston Hill campus, including our first class Learning Resources Centre offer the setting for you to receive the quality teaching we pride ourselves on, from our wide group of diverse, professional and supportive academics. Welcome from Associate Dean and Head of Business School
Kingston Business School has a long, rich history and today is one of the leading institutions for the provision of business and management courses. Our portfolio extends across numerous areas including accounting and finance, human resource management, marketing and also includes our flagship Kingston MBA programme.
Studying at Kingston Business School will prepare you for a wide range of careers, through the courses we deliver as well as the work placement and project opportunities that we offer. Our portfolio of courses and electives is among the most comprehensive in London. Most of our undergraduate programmes are built around a common first year allowing you to delay your choice of specialism until you have experienced the key areas we teach. Our postgraduate and executive education portfolio is professionally focussed, providing unique opportunities to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career.
You will also notice that most of our courses are endorsed by professional bodies through accreditations. We are the first business school in the world to have received accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for all its Business Administration programmes (Master’s in Business Management, the Kingston MBA including its executive variant and the Kingston DBA). We have also been awarded EPAS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) for two sets of management programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. At doctoral level our MSc in Management and Business Studies Research is recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), and is the pathway to the ESRC-recognised PhD.
