Business Management MSc Consultancy Project

In order to provide our graduates with the opportunity to build and enhance their skills within the business environment we run a short-term driven project for an external client. Students on the following full-time masters programmes have the opportunity to be involved:

  • MSc International Business Management
  • MSc Financial & Business Management

The projects involve a team of 5 to 6 business postgraduates visiting and working with an organisation over 6 weeks (March through early May) doing internal and external research, and producing a report and presentation, to a brief agreed with the client. Please note that while the project is formally assessed, it is not workplace-based, though we do recommend organisational visits and access as appropriate.

Our postgraduates are nearing the end of their business MSc studies, have had consultancy training and are typically 22 to 25. Many of them are international and bring with them languages, work experience, knowledge of European and non-European business cultures and best of all, a professional approach to problem-solving.

If your organisation is considering a small market survey, financial analysis, feasibility study or similar limited piece of research in the near future, please email Tanya Boardman, Business Development Manager, who will be happy to discuss possibilities and provide further details. We have an official launch date of Wednesday 14th March for our 2012 projects, which provides an opportunity to meet and brief the teams. Please note that we make organisations a limited negotiable charge to cover essential expenses.

Soft Control TeamThe team ran a project that analysed the marketing strategy and product range of a medium-sized software supplier operating out of South East Asia but delivering globally to a niche service sector.
