The detail

For this dual degree, students will study a Kingston Business School full -time masters programme during the autumn and spring semesters, after which they will continue to Boston University to take another course in Boston over the following summer and autumn semesters.

The Kingston award

Students will first enrol for a full time taught masters programme at Kingston Business School and can choose from the wide range of full-time taught masters courses here.
    

The Boston award

The Boston award is a Master of Science in Administrative Studies (MSAS) with the following degree award options:

  • MSAS in Financial Economics
  • MSAS in Electronic Commerce, Systems and Technology
  • MSAS in Innovation and Technology
  • MSAS in Multinational Commerce
  • A fifth option is the MS in Project Management

For one semester students will study four core modules (from those listed below): 

Core modules

  • Financial Concepts or Corporate Finance
  • Project Management
  • Ecommerce
  • International Business, Economics and Cultures
  • The Innovation Process; Developing New Products and Services

In the second semester they will select a further 4 courses to obtain the award they have applied for. Students will need to ensure that the modules they study at Boston are different from those taken at Kingston.

Internships

The Boston courses allow an opportunity to take internships with leading employers in the USA, subject to visa restrictions.

Fees:

For those studying at Boston in the summer and autumn semesters the fees and likely living expenses are as follows:

  • Tuition: $34,865 USD
  • Approximate cost of living: $19,923 USD
  • Total: $54,788 USD

Fees for the Kingston courses are as follows:

Masters courses at Kingston Business School range from:

  • £8,200 - £10,000 for Home/ EU students
  • £12,500 - £14,300 for International students (from outside of the EU), dependent on the course taken
  • Likely living expenses in Kingston are approximately £6500 - £10,000 per year  

Accommodation

Accommodation is available on the Boston campus for the summer semester, and Boston University will help students find private accommodation for the autumn semester.

Most postgraduate students at Kingston live in private accommodation. Some accommodation is available for Overseas (non-EU) postgraduate students in the University’s halls of residence and a very limited amount for Home/ EU postgraduate students. 

How to apply

Students should firstly apply for a full time taught postgraduate programme at Kingston Business School via the Kingston University website, however this offer is only applicable to those studying a business MSc and does not include Law or the Kingston MBA.

During their studies at Kingston and before February, students will need to apply for the Boston course they are interested in.

N.B. Students will need to pass their modules on their Kingston course in order to progress to Boston.
