Entrepreneurship Experience

Does age matter to starting and enterprise? We have three successful Young Entrepreneurs discuss the challenges they have faced, and how they have overcome the age barrier to excel in business.

  • Sabirul Islam - Sabirul Islam 21, a Teen-Trepreneur from the age of 14, a global motivational speaker on a journey to Inspire1Million people. Author of ‘The World at Your Feet’ selling 42,500 copies aged 17. And founder of the Teen-Trepreneur Board Game and Teen-Speakers. - http://theworldatyourfeet.com
  • Rich Martell - His first major success in the tech industry came with the creation of FitFinder. One night in April 2010, Martell put together a basic version of a site that allowed users to post about attractive people around them. The site was expanded to several other Universities and received over 5 million page views from around 250,000 users before it was shut down. After Rich left University, he launched Floxx with the aid of former Dragon’s Den dragon, Doug Richard, and Kevin Wall, Emmy award-winning producer and Silicon Valley angel investor. - http://floxx.com
  • Carly Ward - Whilst on the lookout for resources and support to start her own business Carly discovered there was a distinct lack of ‘real’ support for people like her, so decided to create a programme helping young people learn entrepreneurial, personal development and life skills. The 12 Steps to Success Programme was born and is a structured 12 Step programme including interviews, videos , workbooks and suggested reading aimed at any young person under 25 who wants success in life. Carly and the YES team work with schools, colleges, universities and young people who are unemployed - http://yesnetwork.co.uk
