Many creative students and graduates are self-employed. But most creatives don’t consider themselves to be Entrepreneurs or ‘In Business’. Our two fantastic speakers will discuss how they have made their living from their creativity and how they are helping others do the same.
- Elinor Olisa - Elinor Olisa is Co- Founder of DegreeArt.com, an online art gallery providing access to affordable, original art created by emerging artists. In 2005 Elinor appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den alongside business partner Isobel Beauchamp. Rejecting the two offers they received the duo went on to grow the business and following several years of fast growth recently closed its first fundraising round led by Angel investors. http://degreeart.com
- Chris Dodson - Chris comes from an integrated marketing background and has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands such as Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Intel and Vodafone. After rising quickly through the ranks at integrated agency Tidalwave, Chris joined Archibald Ingall Stretton as Business Director on the O2 account. He left that role to become Managing Director of Concept Cupboard. Concept Cupboard matches businesses with student creatives to produce quality, low-cost design and marketing solutions. http://conceptcupboard.com
