Diabetes Self-Management among Adolescents (DIASMA)

Blood test

This study will use qualitative research to add to existing understandings of the influences on diabetes self management and aims to generate hypotheses on how young people with type-1 diabetes can be encouraged to manage their disease more effectively.

Smartphone user

The project will develop and test innovative concepts for mobile phone applications that are fun to use and oriented towards the needs and interests of young people with diabetes.

The research is sponsored by the Southwest London Academic Network (SWan), an alliance between Kingston University, Royal Holloway University of London and St George's University of London.
