Dr Chris Hand
BA(Hons) MSc MA PhD Post Doctoral Researcher - Full Time Strategy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship Room KH-PC04 Portacabin Kingston University Kingston Hill Kingston Upon Thames Surrey KT2 7LB Biography I'm a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Strategy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Course Director for the MSc in Management and Business Studies Research. Prior to joining Kingston University I worked at Royal Holloway University of London and Bournemouth Media School as a Research Fellow on an AHRB project investigating the impact of the launch of ITV on British television. I gained my PhD in Economics from the University of Portsmouth. I hold a BA in Economics and an MSc in Business Economics also from the University of Portsmouth and an MA in Strategic Marketing Management from Kingston University. Research Interests
My research interests include Cultural Economics (especially the film industry), e-commerce in the grocery sector and consumer behaviour (especially customer loyalty). I am also interested in the application of quantitative methods and econometrics to marketing problems. Teaching I teach Market Research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I also teach Survey Analysis to MA Marketing and MA Marketing with English students, and teach on the undergraduate New Product Development and Dissertation modules.
