Biography

2016 – PhD in Psychology - University of Oslo.

2015/16 –Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Iowa.

2011 - Master of Philosophy in Psychology - University of Oslo.

2009 - Bachelor in Psychology - University of Oslo.

2009 - Bachelor in Social Anthropology - University of Oslo.

Research Interest(s)

I am interested in several topics within judgment and decision making: Comparative judgments, probability judgments, emotions (schadenfreude), cyber security, responsibility, framing, and desirability bias. One of my current projects investigates whether group judgments are more or less biased than individual judgments, focusing on Base-rate fallacy type II (overweighting base-rates, ignoring case-information). In another current project we are investigating how people perceive decision makers’ responsibility for the outcome when faced with a certain vs. risky choice. I am also interested in Additivity neglect (probability estimates for a set of outcomes that exceed 1 or 100%), and how this bias is affected by contextual differences, such as answering format.
