Yiannis Anagnostopoulos is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Business School, and lectures in the areas of financial reporting, corporate/business finance, banking, portfolio management and risk management. He is also a Course Director for the MSc. programme in Banking and Finance, MSc. Finance and MSc. Investment and Financial Rik Management. He formerly worked at the University of Aberdeen and University of East London. Prior to joining the HE Academy, Yiannis held managerial roles in both the public and private sectors.
Agency relationships in banking, the interplay between accounting standards, regulation & banking practice and behavioral finance.
Yiannis is also involved in research in the academic market with regard to developing new programmes in the area of finance, money, banking and accounting.

Prior to teaching Yiannis has worked for Governmental and Non-Governmental Institutions in roles that entailed financial forecasting and preparation of budgets.
Yiannis has also worked with various agencies with the aim of preparing employees of various companies such as Total Elf Fina, C.I.L and also governmental Councils for professional qualifications exams such as ACCA, CIMA and Project Management Certification (Prince II).
Yiannis has also been involved in the capacity of external consultant in bank restructuring cases in the banking sector. He is also an external Consultant for the United Nations Renewable Energy Research and Education.
