Biography

John Forgan, a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of teaching experience, is a programme director on the Kingston MBA at Kingston with teaching experience in Russia, the Netherlands and the United States of America. In addition to his teaching commitments, he has extensive experience as a professional accountant having spent over 25 years in the accounting profession including 15 as a partner in an accountancy practice.

Currently he is the Director of Technical Services for a medium-sized accountancy practice. John has been a faculty member at Kingston Business School since 1989.

Expertise

John\'s current main research and consultancy interests are the financial reporting of government departments under the Resource Accounting and Budgeting initiative of 2001.Course development and delivery of finance Training (Resource Accounting and Budgeting RAB) to The Department of Environment Transport and the Regions.Developing the use of Information Technology in the teaching and assessment of financial accounting students (project leader)Member of the Schools Financial Reporting Response Group, considering and responding to draft accounting standards and discussion papers issued by the professional accounting bodies.
