Following a management and development career in the public, private and voluntary sectors, Richard founded Prevista Ltd in 1995 and grew it from a one-man operation into a company that employed over 70 staff and 40 specialist associate consultants.
Richard sold Prevista to a private investor group in 2008 and ended all his connections with it early in 2010. Later that year he founded his new social enterprise, Rinova Ltd, which employs a team of twenty staff and associates and is based in Hammersmith, London.
He has undertaken the role of being strategic adviser to a range of public bodies, including Government Departments, Learning and Skills Councils, National Training Organisations, Regional Development Agencies and other non-governmental and governmental bodies.
Throughout his career, Richard has designed and implemented a diverse range of economic development, innovation, enterprise and skills programmes funded from a wide range of sources. Richard has worked closely in partnership with the Small Business Research Centre at Kingston University for many years and with EU programmes since 1989 and was appointed as an expert adviser to the European Lifelong Learning programme in 2003.
