The Small Business Research Centre

Established in 1987, the Small Business Research Centre (SBRC) is one of the leading research groups in the UK in the field of small business and entrepreneurship. We have developed a growing international reputation, based on an extensive portfolio of research and consultancy, both in the UK and overseas. The current research and recently completed projects undertaken by the Centre are summarised in our Annual Report for 2011. We are also home to the International Small Business Journal, one of the most reputable academic journals on small business and entrepreneurship.

2012, the year London hosted the Olympic Games, has also been an exciting year for the Small Business Research Centre (SBRC). We have undertaken a number of high-profile projects and have expanded our staff and research student numbers. The move to a purpose-built Business School has provided a new working environment with excellent facilities for growth and hosting open research events.
